Again an Akron self-production. The music of burn blue sky is definitely not
the kind of heavy stuff I listen to on a daily basis ... but imaginative and

excellent sound and EQ so soft that I turn up the headphone volume to maximum
and I am still yearning for another notch. A mixture of genres and groups from
the seventies through to today is what characterises this very enjoyable disc,
not trivial in the slightest.

Artist: lalène title: la fine del freddo
completely self produced by Lalène, a group rich with progressive DNA, that
real Italian variety. Beyond the language sung recognizable “la fine del
freddo” (end of the cold) is a true red, white and green record, I mean one of
the good ones! Too fucking bad that it sometimes sounded too good! Too bad for
that so immature voice! I believe in error, I find it indispensable in order to
personalise one's own product, even if the error of this disc is that they
don't want to make mistakes. Interesting texts on the cover ... the result
would surely be better as a vinyl version?

I have read several reviews where Glimr are compared to Pink Floyd. Certainlywhilst listening to this disc one of the first things that hits you are the
echoes, dissonant singing, the guitar effects and psychedelic utterances
clearly of Floydonian influence. But I want to point out that this influence
comes very early when the still mad creativity of Syd Barrett had created those
unique and unrepeatable atmospherics .... Sod that! Glimr have skirted close
but luckily not too much. Just that right amount that makes them a decent
original contemporary group, to have at home.

I don't hide the fact that I don't particularly dig on second generation yelling punk : made up shouting, mohicans plus black and white graphics with skulls!Behind a forced simplicity that's hypocritical and distasteful is hidden a certain musical virtuosity which doesn't gel well with punk rock roots. a few nice sounds that came from a first listen of this album wasn't enough to persuaded me to play it for a second time

an eye-catching cover, a collection of romantic serenades for drunken dandy cowboys, low-fi Mariachi surf. Listening to puta madre brothers with a decent hi-fi at home is a waste of time! better a ramshackle and powerful system in a good crowd and with a river of mescal for a that oh-so more authentic punky party

what could we expect from Kranky records if not a refined disco? High-tempo, fluidly hypnotic and simple. A cluster of other bands came to mind while listening... old loves and new discoveries, but I will not name a single one as that might take away the BELONG's uniqueness they rightly deserve with this latest work

Without necessarily having to fish out some old American punk rock psychedelic vinyl , or search among the new neo-hippie boring bands, here is a good alternative provided by this Spanish trio that offers us a tireless playlist of all twelve pieces of a good punk , raw and obscure. Definitely a band to see live - impossible not to move to their beat

The second work from vessels where nothing seems to be left to chance, a disc that flies and you listen and listen without your ear nodding off. Rich and highly balanced sounds in a nine track sequence of genuine post-rock, a genre that I don't usually warm to very readily!
Worthy of note is the cover artwork that satisfactorily completes this musical work with the wonderful illustration of Luke Drozd - just look and see

Har to de todo es una historia oral de la erupción del punk en la ciudad deBarcelona durante los años 1979 y 1987, y recoge la experiencia personal de una serie de pioneros que vivieron el gérmen y evolución de dicha
comunidad. En Har to de todo abundan las confesiones de los primeros
grupos de punk y hardcore condal (Último Resor te, Attak, Shit S.A.,
Kangrena, Sentido Común, Frenopaticss, L'Odi Social, GRB, Subterranean
Kids, HHH, Skatalà...), pero también de los implicados en fanzines (NDF),
radios libres (Radio Pica), primeras tiendas o locales autogestionados
(Informe o Kafe Volter) o, sencillamente, los héroes callejeros que dieron
el bravo paso de declararse punks en la grisácea España de 1979. A
través del testimonio honesto y apasionado de todos estos exploradores
descubrimos sus descubrimientos: su primer contacto con el punk rock;
cómo se fusionaron la rabia autóctona con los preceptos de un movimiento juvenil inglés, adaptando su estética e ideología al sentir cotidiano de
nuestros protagonistas; el nacimiento del Do It Yourself (o autogestión); la
conexión con otros francotiradores similares de todo el mundo y la
creación de una red de información a nivel internacional; el papel de las

catalán. Realizado con patente amor y rebosante de detalle, repleto de
espectacular material visual de archivo y escrito con arrebatadora sinceridad, este es un trabajo de impor tancia equiparable a cénits foráneos del
género como Por favor mátame (una historia oral del punk), Banned in DC,
From the Velvets to the Voidoids o Hardcore California, y no puede faltar
en la bibliografía de ningún estudioso/aficionado al género.
